​Cohesity’s Legal Department is seeking a driven, ambitious Contract Manager to join our growing commercial team.

The role involves responsibility for the management and administration of contracts, and also offers a genuine opportunity to expand areas of responsibility within a dynamic and fast-growing company.

The role will involve:

  • Hands-on experience with a fast-paced learning curve, in line with Cohesity’s culture and values;
  • Being embedded with a team of lawyers handling complex commercial, technology and other contracts/documents;
  • Opportunities to collaborate and build relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders in cross-function processes
  • Autonomy and responsibility for improving processes/operations, including contract templates/other internal forms, negotiation playbooks and other project work; and
  • Other activities to support our rapidly growing and evolving go-to-market and channel functions.

How You'll Spend Your Time Here

  • Innovate, optimize and evolve Cohesity forms, templates and playbooks to drive contract velocity and standards.
  • Manage and prioritize commercial legal requests and processes.
  • Autonomously process nonstandard requests, including customer letters, NDAs, and other general legal requests.
  • Collaborate with other Contract Managers to drive efficiency and process within the role.
  • Summarize and communicate legal/business concepts to non-Legal teams.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions.
  • Help with company enablement of, and produce data insights from our new contract management platform.
  • Manage and solve complex process breakdowns.
  • Create first drafts of legal terms for attorney review.
  • Project manage key initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal customers using discretion and prioritization to escalate as necessary.
  • Create presentations and reports for senior management.
  • Leverage and recommend improvements to key metrics and developments. Help define input and output metrics to drive new findings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • 3 + years experience in Contract Management or a similar role.
  • Reporting and data analytics experience.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple work streams and manage time efficiently.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Hands-on/Quick learner who brings flexibility, curiosity, and initiative to their role.

We expect the successful candidate to have some but not all required skills on day one; aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn are more meaningful than existing skills.

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
