The Employee Relations Partner, is a key member of the Cohesity's Employee Relations growing team. This role will be supporting business divisions within a geographical region eg. EMEA including labor relations with works councils in France and Germany.
As the Employee Relations Partner you will serve as a trusted advisor to resolve
challenging issues including: complex investigations, performance improvement, conflict resolution and other ER concerns. This role will partner, as needed, with People Partners, Legal, Compliance, HR Operations, and others to analyze, diagnose and resolve Employee Relations issues in an efficient and effective manner.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
- Conduct internal (and potentially sensitive) investigations and propose remediations related to Employee concerns and potential policy violations.
- Partner with managers and employees to facilitate positive interactions and effective outcomes for matters including performance coaching, performance
- improvement plans, written warnings, disciplinary actions and communications.
- Collaborate cross functionally with division leaders, Legal and HR to resolve ER cases and sustain positive employee relations.
- Provide detailed case management documentation, executive summaries and timelines clearly written and with recommended outcomes.
- Analyze employee relations trends monthly / quarterly for your region to develop proactive strategies, solutions, training programs and policies.
- Maintain thorough understanding of Cohesity's HR policies/procedures and relevant employment and labor laws to ensure equitable and consistent resolution of cases.
- Engage and execute on projects across divisions and functions where ER expertise and input is required.
- Identify learning and development opportunities for managers to advise and train managers in employee relations best practices and strategies
- Assist with employee relations special projects as needed
- Drive cross functional partnerships with HR, Payroll, legal, IT and other parts of the business

- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of related experience - focused on ER, employment law, or HR Business
- partner/generalist experiences
- Good written and oral English language skills
- Experience using a case management system and accountability for detailed,
- documented investigations
- Experience building and using metrics to identify employee relations trends;
- Background in HR, Employment Law, or Business.

- Background in HR, Employment Law for their region
- Experience of other global Employment Law is a plus
- Proactive and able to work autonomously
- Ability to use strong discretion, judgment, maintain strict confidentiality and remain unbiased when conducting investigations or handling sensitive information
- Promote the highest ethical business standards in line with Cohesity’s culture
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write cohesive emails, summaries and investigations plans/reports in English.
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships and be a conscientious, trusted adviser, acting with respect and compassion, with employees at all levels, regions, and divisions of the organization.
- Ability to handle complex and emotionally charged issues with maturity and composure, addressing situations objectively and without bias.
- Passionate about making things better, e.g. improving processes, reducing/removing inefficiencies.
- Ability to analyze data, create reports and use system analytics to dig into root cause analyses.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully within ambiguity, with multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with executives, senior leaders, members of management, and employees at all levels of the company
- Ability to work at least 2 days per week in office (if live within a 45 minute
- distance)
