We are looking for an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Manager to focus on our eProvider Solutions. Our eProvider Solutions (ePS) service line simplifies the transfer of electronic transactions between physicians, health care facilities and payers. With decades of experience in health care operations and management, our teams provide a single source claims management solution for our clients.

The EDI Manager is responsible for managing the Electronic Data Interchange processes and systems within the organization. This includes overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EDI systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The EDI Manager works closely with internal stakeholders and external trading partners to facilitate efficient electronic data exchange and streamline business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a team of EDI analysts and Payer Implementation. This includes providing guidance, mentoring, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment, and ensuring that the team meets its goals and objectives.

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for EDI processes within the organization is a crucial aspect of the role. This involves aligning EDI initiatives with overall business objectives and ensuring that the EDI team contributes to the organization's success.

  • Resource allocation within the team. This includes managing staffing levels, assigning tasks, and ensuring that the team has the necessary skills and tools to effectively carry out their responsibilities.

  • Overseeing EDI projects from initiation to completion. This involves coordinating with different departments, setting project timelines, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Collaboration with other Departments - EDI processes often involve collaboration with various departments such as IT, logistics, finance, and customer service. The manager facilitates communication and collaboration between the EDI team and other functional areas to ensure seamless integration of EDI with overall business processes.

  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of EDI transactions is a key responsibility. The manager establishes and enforces quality assurance processes to guarantee that data exchanges meet the required standards and are error-free.

  • Oversight of the Payer Implementation team for establishing and maintaining relationships with EDI service providers, software vendors, and trading partners. This includes negotiating contracts, addressing technical issues, and ensuring effective communication channels.

  • Providing training opportunities for EDI analysts to enhance their skills and stay updated on industry trends is part of the manager's role. This ensures that the team remains competent in handling evolving technologies and standards.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

Must Haves:

  • Professional and Institutional (HCFA, UB, and ANSI 5010) insurance billing experience.

  • Basic computer skills, (Office applications, email, online meetings, etc.).

  • Understanding of clearinghouse functions.

  • Organized, detail-oriented individual capable of meeting short-deadline goals.

  • Ability to prioritize the most important activities daily to maximize time spent on open items.

  • Ability to adapt to increased workload.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • A team player who performs well independently and is strongly self-motivated.

  • Ability to understand, analyze and interpret data to make organizational, planning and problem-solving decisions.

  • BA/BS degree or 5+ years EDI/clearinghouse experience required.

  • S/FTP knowledge.

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry

  • Professional medical insurance billing experience

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States– if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in- office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:

The target base compensation for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
