Primarily you’ll work as part of an agile team to deliver changes as prioritised by the product owner, based on the wider product, engineering or design needs.
Responsibilities:
Software development of the core timely systems and platforms

- You’ll balance new feature work with bug fix work and strategic technical improvement work with guidance and help from the wider technical team
Accountability for delivery and quality of work undertaken
- As a member of the engineering team, you’ll take a personal pride and responsibility in the work you commit to doing and deliver changes that are of a high quality to our customers.
- As a senior member of our engineering team, you are both a strong individual contributor who writes high quality code, but also a mentor who helps other team members write clean, readable code.
- You’ll also be responsible for the security and integrity of the software you deliver and work alongside our security team to ensure that best practices are always followed.
Understanding our release process and practices
- You'll be familiar with and contribute to our release pipelines and monitoring tools
- You’ll be comfortable and familiar with our whole software development lifecycle from development through to deployment
- You’ll be comfortable working with techniques such as feature flagging and partial deploys to enable us to run a quick release cycle and experiments in production
Being a part of the wider Product Engineering team
- You’ll work closely with product design, product management and product engineering as well as quality assurance to ensure that we’re all working together to deliver our goals.
- You’ll work closely with other members of the mobile engineering skillset, making sure that PR’s are reviewed, team members are supported and our mobile engineering practice improves over time.
On call responsibilities
- You may be requested to work as part of our on-call team if needed
Skills and experience needed to be successful:
- 4+ years in a mobile engineering or equivalent role working in agile teams
- Strong competency and experience with Swift, Kotlin or other mobile frameworks

- You’ll be experienced with and an advocate for delivery techniques that reduce risk such as feature flagging and partial deploys
- Team player, must be able to work with others around them
- Demonstratable strong collaboration skills across product and engineering
- Demonstratable strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to both translate technical concepts to less technical audiences where required as well as manage expectations of different stakeholders
