As a Lead Product Designer at EverWell, you will drive UX outcomes through world class product design for Timely (desktop and mobile). This role involves engaging with users through a human centred approach, cross-functional collaboration, working cross-product, and standing up practice improvements. In this role you will plan and deliver end-to-end product design work – including problem discovery & definition, solutioning & validation, build, and measuring success of your design. Your practice will focus on UX outcomes at every step.

You’ll advocate for users and ensure decisions are made with them in mind. Your designs will embody best practice interactivity, creativity and innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams with high levels of ambiguity, dependencies and stakeholder management. Ability to see in complex systems, unlock UX synergies between salon/client experiences, and drive practice improvements are key parts of this role. Your skillful leadership, coaching/mentoring, and stakeholder management will drive cross-product outcomes and enable fellow designers to deliver world class product.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world class product design for complex product that is superior to our benchmarks, in a collaborative team environment
  • Solve the right user problems, with the right solution through an insights-based approach
  • Identify opportunities for cross-product synergy – ie solving problems for multiple actors in a system at one time
  • Plan UX activities that maximise outcomes at every step, and partner with product management, engineering, product marketing and UX research across the journey
  • Plan and conduct UX research to discover problem spaces and define + prioritise specific problems within them
  • Define UX success metrics that align to product and company goals and stand-up tracking for those, for each piece of work
  • Ensure cross-team alignment via. no-surprises communication, facilitating group activities where appropriate (eg. co-design), playing back research findings, showing work in progress, and clearly articulating the why and connection to user need/problem
  • Mentoring & coaching more junior team members, new onboards and stakeholders
  • Identify practice gaps and standup improvements to close them

Skills and experience needed to be successful:

  • 10+ years of experience in product design for SaaS products, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
  • Demonstrated experience standing up outcomes-oriented practice improvements, and increasing maturity of practice across a design group
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring more junior team members Proven ability to build relationships, storytell and influence across all levels of a business – to advance outcomes, and generate organisational understanding of user goals, needs, pains and mindsets
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a user-centred product design end-to-end process, from defining problems and goals to planning and conducting research, design, testing, validation, partnering for build, and measuring success
  • Extensive practice in, and mastery in one or two, a wide range of UX activities including but not limited to problem statements/articulation, journey mapping, ux audit/analytics, competitor analysis, ideation, mapping user scenarios, user segmentation, prototyping, user testing
  • Demonstrates strong visual design skills and proven experience designing for both web (responsive) and iOS platforms
  • Experience designing for cross-product, complex and large-scoped problems, journeys and scenarios
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, deliver pragmatic solutions, elicit feedback, test and iterate to accelerate user outcomes Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, communicate early and with no surprises and influence user outcomes
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and humility
