About the Role:

As a Content Strategist, you’ll be responsible for content marketing activities, including strategic planning, writing, editing, and proofreading articles, whitepapers, ebooks, and email copy to ensure performance, brand voice, messaging, strategy, and alignment with content marketing best practices. You will report to the Director of Digital Content & Strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams within EverCommerce and our solutions as a strategic leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and create content marketing collateral (web copy, articles, whitepapers, ebooks, and email) that boosts organic traffic, creates brand awareness, drives leads, and demonstrates ROI across multiple brands

  • Collaborate with the other members of the Content Strategy Team, as well as cross-functional internal partners, to develop content marketing strategies, calendars, and campaigns

  • Coordinate and oversee freelance copy orders for multiple solutions, ensuring on-time completion of copy, strategic alignment, and overall quality

  • Write, edit, and proofread with solution-specific Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) in mind to ensure brand voice and tone

  • Write, edit, and proofread in the Associated Press style and in alignment with internal writing style guides

  • Collaborate and brainstorm with other content professionals, marketing directors, marketing managers, and stakeholders to determine the direction of campaigns and brand messaging strategies

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Experience (3 years minimum) as a copywriter, editor, or content strategist

  • Invested in dynamic collaboration and passionate about partnering with others to produce world-class content

  • Committed to high-quality content—specifically, content from which the reader gets clear, direct, and immediate value

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining under budget and on time

  • Capable of consistently meeting deadlines

  • Able to plan, write and edit content in multiple tones/voices in an effort to reach different target audiences with different buyer personas

  • An eye for detail, including grammar, fact-checking, spelling, research, proper HTML formatting, and consistent publication structure

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment where deadlines, strategies, and objectives have the potential to change quickly

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to contribute as a part of the larger marketing team or lead content-oriented discussions as needed

  • Familiarity with keyword research, content calendars, and editing is strongly preferred

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or marketing preferred
