The Corporate Development Senior Associate will support the VP of Corporate Development in a variety of inorganic growth initiatives, including acquisitions and divestitures, and will play a key role in a small team in supporting the strategic direction of the company.

Given the small team, you have the unique ability to flex from low-ego analyst level responsibilities to leading meetings with founders and executives.
You are highly responsive, act with urgency and are highly self-motivated – someone that can initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance because you have confidence to ask questions and work independently. You have excellent communication skills to be direct, concise, and convincing.

Core Responsibilities
- Develop strong understanding of EverCommerce’s business and growth strategies, leveraging this knowledge into research and analysis of various markets/industries and specific acquisition, partnership, or divestiture targets
- Assist VP, Corporate Development with the due diligence process by reviewing/disseminating/summarizing information
- Collaborate with internal and external teams involved with sourcing, due diligence, and transaction execution
- Support all M&A related activities, including valuation, structuring, negotiation, and integration
- Create and manage project plans and schedules
- Participate in internal/external management presentations and diligence calls/meetings
- Summarize key diligence findings in presentations to be used for internal approvals and integration planning
- Develop and maintain strong industry competitive knowledge
- Participate in optimizing Corporate Development processes
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or other related field with a top-tier academic background
- 4-10 years of post-undergraduate relevant work experience, e.g. financial services, corporate development or private equity
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to comprehend and handle large volumes of data and summarize key facts and conclusions in a concise and persuasive manner
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- Quick to respond and highly accountable to deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills required
- Extreme attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership
- Low ego attitude with a willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to necessary mundane tasks required to complete a job
- Ability to protect extremely confidential information
- Interest and/or previous experience in the software/payments industry a plus

Compensation: The target compensation for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year with an annual bonus in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above
