We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Developer with 8+ years of experience, a strong foundation in programming, and a proven ability to mentor and guide other developers. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions, ensuring best practices while driving technical decisions and long-term architecture. You will play a key role in data visualization, and unifying data across multiple business verticals, helping shape how data is structured and presented for impactful decision-making.

You thrive in ambiguous problem spaces, proactively identifying and addressing challenges while ensuring scalability and maintainability. You bring a diverse knowledge base, enabling you to lead complex problem-solving efforts and support your team in overcoming technical roadblocks. You're a strong communicator who can collaborate well with team members and stakeholders, adapting your approach as needed and learning to address technical challenges effectively with other engineers on the team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile and web applications with a focus on performance, security, and usability.
• Build and enhance data visualization and charting solutions, ensuring clear and insightful representation of complex data.
• Architect E2E solutions that unify data across multiple business verticals, enabling seamless integration and decision-making across teams.
• Take a long-term, strategic approach to technical decisions, balancing support for existing products while building new features, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adaptability in an evolving business landscape.
• Navigate ambiguous problem spaces, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities while collaborating across teams to define clear solutions.
• Lead complex technical initiatives, driving best practices in mobile development, backend integrations, and data-driven features.
• Optimize performance across mobile and web platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience across diverse devices and network conditions.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

• 8+ years of professional experience delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions as a software engineer.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience building seamless, performant modern apps using React, Typescript, and modern UI frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
• Extensive knowledge of mobile app development from ideation to publishing.
• Strong background in integrating and optimizing visual data representation within mobile applications, using libraries like D3.js, Recharts, or similar frameworks.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable data solutions that aggregate and streamline insights from multiple business domains for better decision-making.
• In-depth understanding of the NodeJS ecosystem and expertise in React and/or React Native frameworks and associated tooling.
• Extensive expertise in database modeling and caching technologies, across both relational and document stores (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc)
• Proven track record of leading large-scale projects spanning several months, effectively clarifying ambiguous requirements, planning execution, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Strong knowledge of designing and building high-performance, scalable RESTful APIs capable of handling millions of customer requests efficiently while supporting critical mobile app functionalities.
• Experienced in quickly assessing existing architectures and driving optimizations that enhance both technical performance and business KPIs.
• Analytical mindset with a curiosity to explore data-driven solutions and a willingness to ask questions for continuous growth.
• Passionate about maintaining code quality through automated testing, CI/CD processes, and comprehensive code reviews.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA, Scrum, or Kanban.

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in Canada – if you are close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:

EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 CAD Per Year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all distinct labor markets in the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
