We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Testing QA Analyst to join our quality assurance team. The QA Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. This position requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira, ensuring clear and concise communication with developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and support, to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Participate in reviews of requirements, technical design documents, and user stories to provide timely feedback on potential risks and testing challenges.
  • Verify fixes and perform retesting for resolved issues, ensuring that the resolution meets quality standards.
  • Provide detailed test execution reports and recommendations to stakeholders.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Selenium, or similar).
  • Proficiency in identifying, reproducing, and documenting software defects.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools.

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
