A Content Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation, management, and optimization of content across various platforms to engage audiences, promote brand visibility, and achieve business objectives.
The Content Manager will be instrumental in shaping our Community’s editorial voice and ensuring that all content published meets the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. This role involves both content strategy and content production, with the ultimate goal of building brand awareness and engagement through compelling content across all digital and offline channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Content Strategy: Create and implement content strategies that align with the community’s marketing goals and target audience needs. Analyze content performance and user engagement to optimize future content.
  • Ideating creative, impactful campaigns for projects that span experiential, video content, social, and more for other pitch projects
  • Creating innovative pitches for interactive ideas, on ground brand integrations that elevate the consumer experience and increase brand recall
  • To represent these ideas in a visually compelling manner through brand focused presentations
  • Offering creative solutions for advertiser needs based on our platforms inventory and products
  • Editorial Oversight: Manage all aspects of the content lifecycle, from brainstorming and content creation to editing and publishing. Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone, and optimized for search and user experience across all channels including online, social media, email, mobile, video, and print.
  • Team Coordination: Lead a team of content creators, including writers, designers, and videographers, coordinating tasks and workflows to meet content production deadlines.
  • Content Calendar Management: Manage the content calendar, scheduling all content activities and ensuring a steady flow of content throughout the year.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Use analytics tools to track content performance and use insights to improve content strategies. Prepare regular reports on content engagement and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to create content that supports and enhances company initiatives and goals.
  • Innovative Content Development: Stay current with content trends, digital technology, and consumer behavior to propose innovative content solutions that improve content delivery and engagement.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the content budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to meet content objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years conceptualising and / or content strategy experience
  • Proven experience in content management, content strategy, and web content optimization.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising, and social media marketing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of published content.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, and keyword research tools.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
