Engineering Manager - Org Management
About The Role
A primary focus for Rippling has been to increase penetration in the Large and Enterprise customer segment, which requires advanced capabilities to organize, manage and grow organizations. The Org Management team primarily focuses on building these capabilities. This includes products and features like Headcount Planning, Comp Bands, Org Charts, Levels, Departments, and Teams as well as connecting these products and features to other products within Rippling. Rippling is also continuing to explore new product opportunities within this growing space.
This engineering leadership role will be responsible for building the product and team that strengthens the foundation of our Enterprise strategy. This team will be responsible for a suite of core products and services that enables the next generation of Enterprise products to scale. This team will be responsible for managing a combination of both directly user-facing products as well as interfaces for other engineering teams. There are challenges for the team that range from building for usability to scaling for massive growth and a wide array of engineering requirements.
You’ll be working on defining, driving, and delivering the technical roadmap of the team, hiring talented engineers who can continue to build out our scalable systems, and defining the underlying infrastructure at Rippling for the next 5 years and beyond.
What You'll Do
Provide technical leadership and vision in a widely scoped engineering team.
Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams and leaders.
Work cross-functionally with product and engineering leadership to drive said vision.
Balancing a long-term vision with a high-impact and iterative roadmap.
Drive company-wide engineering initiatives and process changes.
Drive the development of the product and platform in a fast-paced environment.
Coach and mentor engineers at different levels to achieve their career goals.
8+ years of engineering or engineering management experience
Expertise in building complex distributed services
Proven track record of taking initiative and leading projects
Proficiency in recruiting, organizing, and motivating teams
You care about product ownership and solving problems for our customers
