About the role
You would be joining the Spend Management team which plays a pivotal role in redefining the future of corporate spending as we scale from millions to billions of dollars in transactions per month. Customers love that we have built an all-in-one platform for corporate cards, expense management, accounting automation, and more. We simplify the financial admins lives through the combination of the entire Rippling product suite. We launched Spend Management one year ago and have seen tremendous customer adoption and excitement.
As an Engineering Manager for Expense Management and Accounting Integrations, you'll build out a winning team that grows our product offerings that customers love and ensure high availability, scalability, and low latency. You will directly impact customers, drive improvements in cross-team initiatives, and uphold rigorous technical standards within your team. Ever since the inception of Spend Management, we've been dedicated to delivering an exceptional product experience while reducing our operational overhead.

Identify inefficiencies within the team and drive process and system enhancements that will support scaling the team.
What you will need
Demonstrate a track record of 9+ years of professional experience utilizing a modern backend programming language (i.e. Python, Java, Kotlin, C++) for APIs, batch jobs, etc. Experience with a frontend language/framework (i.e. React, Ruby/Rails) would be a plus.
Possess 2+ years of professional experience managing a team of engineers.
Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, providing you with a solid foundation to help mentor engineers to tackle complex technical problems and drive innovation.
Previous experience managing the complete project lifecycle, transforming intricate ideas into successful launches.
Demonstrate a keen product sense that advocates for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Outstanding capacity to convey intricate technical concepts clearly and precisely, both in written and verbal communication, while collaborating effectively across diverse functional teams.
Experience with React is a plus but not required
