As Head of Sports Investment, you will drive Tatari’s sports strategy by forging key partnerships and driving growth for our clients. We are seeking a senior leader with a passion for sports. You will serve as the go-to subject matter expert, boasting a proven track record of building and negotiating successful sports partnerships across various properties such as the NFL, MLB, NBA, NCAA, WNBA, and more. This position reports to the VP of Media.
Responsibilities:
- Become versed in all-things Tatari to leverage data, measurement, and machine learning to deliver strategic opportunities to our clients.
- Lead all sports negotiations and partnerships end-to-end. From network relationships to idealization, sourcing, defining fit and strategy, negotiations, socializing and presenting to internal and external parties, and post campaign analysis.
- Maintain and cultivate senior level relationships with networks.
- Interact and communicate with clients on a frequent basis. Includes joining client calls, presenting opportunities, responding to RFPs and QBRs .
- Manage annual sports calendar, track progress, growth, and report P&L.
- Work in tandem with media, operations, product, and client teams to synchronize business objectives and influence automation and product improvements.
- Build upon Tatari’s library of educational materials such as one-sheets, decks, and case studies.
- Manage a small team of sports specialists by providing leadership, mentorship, 1-1’s, reviews, and career growth.
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of related experience in TV, marketing, or brand partnerships/activations
- Deep knowledge and understanding of sports media and the sports landscape. (Linear and streaming).
- Ability to put together quality presentations and to present them elegantly and clearly to clients.
- Track record of negotiating and executing large sponsorships, integrations, activations, Upfronts, etc.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with influence network partners including C-level interactions.
- Experience working with various data sets to tell a story, examples including Experian, Smartv, and 1st party.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities and project management skill.s
