As a Product Manager for KYC & Risk, you’ll:

  • Own the KYC and AML Product Strategy and associated product roadmap, including stakeholder coordination, business requirements, and prioritization
  • Understand the problems our customers (venture funds and private companies) face when it comes to KYC and monitoring of their shareholders who are employees and investors
  • Partner with Compliance, AML, and Risk team to streamline internal processes & internal KYC/AML tooling
  • Help scale our KYC & Risk platform
  • Build & scale real time transaction monitoring, fraud detection tools, and risk scoring
  • Work with a diverse set of stakeholders across compliance, product, business, legal, operations, and finance to reduce business and compliance risks
  • Work with engineers, designers, and key stakeholders to implement solutions to verify the identity, risk, and expected activities of our customers who are companies, venture firms, and shareholders
  • Conduct industry research to identify new vendors and partners to bring onboard that are essential to support the growth in KYC and AML use cases
  • Develop, monitor and automate report on a suite of KPIs

The Team You'll Work With

We are the Financial Products & Infrastructure(FPI) team at Carta that build KYC & Risk platform solutions for all Carta products thereby enabling money movement and banking, and keeping Carta compliant. You will be working on the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) / Anti-money Laundering (AML), Transaction Monitoring, and Risk solutions across Carta’s ecosystem for a diverse set of customers that span across companies, employees, investors, and internal stakeholders.

Our team’s mission is to empower Carta’s ecosystem by helping both our customers and Carta manage risk, enable frictionless payments, and provide access to liquidity.

  • We build KYC/AML solutions to perform KYC, ongoing screenings, and transaction monitoring to empower Carta products to scale while protecting Carta and our customers.
  • We enable customers to quickly, safely, and reliably make payments on our platform. Employees can pay to exercise their options, investors can pay to make investments, companies can facilitate tender offers, and much more.

About You

You will be at the forefront of determining how we build identity and risk evaluation products at Carta which is critical in supporting the company’s growth as we continue to launch new and scale existing products. We seek to unlock a streamlined onboarding UX for our customers, serve our customers’ requests for KYC of their shareholders, and create leverage for our compliance team with automated tools for them to effectively evaluate risk.   • 5+ years of experience in product management, highly regulated environment, preferably financial services with KYC/AML experience
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive product strategy and execution
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical information into business terms
  • Proven track record of launching successful products and driving impact for customers

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

  • $161,500 - $190,000 in [San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA; New York City, NY]
